Large DCDA Assembly
Large DC assemblies with gate valves may be difficult to open/close based upon the age of the unit. These backflow assemblies take longer to test and require a gentle approach as well as necessitate tests to be scheduled when commercial operations are down or not at full capacity to minimize the risks associated with turning off access to water or access to fire sprinklers.
Medium to Small DC Assembly
Smaller DC assemblies are easier to test, the water flowing through many of these units feed the commercial property’s irrigation system or main water supply. These units have less risks associated with them but may still require the business to schedule annual testing at non-peak hours or days when facility is closed.

Frequently Asked Questions about Commercial Services
Commercial backflow testing is a critical process that helps maintain the safety and purity of the water supply in commercial and industrial settings. Backflow occurs when contaminated or non-potable water flows back into the clean, potable water supply, posing serious health risks to others inside the business or around the community. Commercial properties, such as businesses, apartment complexes, and industrial facilities, often have complex plumbing systems that require regular backflow testing to ensure compliance with local regulations and to protect public health.
